Liam!!!
At long last, little Liam (Alexis and Ryan’s new family addition) is making his grand appearance on the blog! He’s incredibly precious and I’m so excited for them! Ryan took these right after a bath… apparently the curly hair is in full force once clean. So cute!!!

Liz’s Baby Shower
You may have wondered where I’ve disappeared to these last couple weeks. The answer to that is baby shower world! Together with my mom and two other hostesses, we threw a baby shower for my sister on February 13th. I was in charge of the decorations and, yes, I love designing events and also my sister, so I went hog wild. 
The one request that my sister made for the baby shower was that I whip out my old “Words from the Wise”. It’s a series of questions that guests answer to give funny/sweet/useful advice. I did a version of them for my sister’s bridal shower and we loved the variety of answers that flooded in. Along with that, we had the guests fill out the front of an envelope to help Liz with her Thank You cards. Pens (matching the shower colors/nursery colors) were in the middle of each table. I believe that if you’re going to spend money on an event, you should be able to take home the bulk of the items from the event for future use. In that spirit, each table had a different stuffed animal (Jelly Cat brand), blocks (from the Land of Nod), Pottery Barn bud vases (to match my sister’s house later), and cheap but gorgeous spider mums from the Fresh Market. 
The favors came in the form of a cookie buffet. Each jar had a favorite recipe from our grandmas and also our aunt Teri (who lives in Kansas City and couldn’t make it). Both of our grandmas passed away and I know one of the hardest parts of Liz’s pregnancy is that she can’t share the excitement with them. This turned out to be Liz’s favorite element of the shower. It also turned out to be a guest favorite too, especially Grandma White’s nut cookies – yum!

Stephanie and Seth – Round Two!
Happy Wednesday, folks! It’s round two for Seth and Stephanie’s maternity photos!! I’ll start with some shots from the end of the day with the light streaming in- I love the emphasis it places on them! 
We got a bunch of amazing black and white shots, here are two of my favorites… 
I love this photo. It reminds me of old photographs of my mother, where she’s convinced she’s just sitting there and I’m convinced she the most beautiful person ever. Stephanie, to me, is absolutely stunning here with the light coming in the window and her belly peeking out.
Some soft sweet shots to wrap it up. We can’t wait to see the little one – we’re doing those shots too and we’re so excited!!
Stephanie and Seth Maternity Shoot Sneak Peek!
Yesterday, we did a maternity shoot for Stephanie and Seth at the Laurel Oak Bed and Breakfast in Gainesville. It was so much fun with their great personalities and all their wonderful childhood toys that they brought to the shoot! I’m a contrasting colors junkie and I just couldn’t help but edit and post these right away. I adore the green and red!!! I’ll be posting some more of our favorites from the shoot soon along with some of my road trip photos, so stay tuned for tons of photo excitement!
Sofie Cate AKA The Muffin
Making her big debut is Sofie Cate! I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to find out that Sofie Cate was no longer just a twinkle; lucky enough to watch Mikki’s belly get bigger and bigger every day; and lucky enough to watch Marty talk to her before she ever popped out. All of which I absolutely loved. But nothing compares to her now! She’s smiling and playing and real enough to HOLD. Yes, you guessed it, Mikki had to pry her away from me for Sofie’s first photo shoot. So without further ado… the Muffin (as her Aunt Bonni calls her).
We decided to have her eat first because she’s so happy afterward… look at the tiny tongue!
Speaking of her Aunt Bonni, here’s Sofie Cate, squished between her mommy and aunt. Just that day alone, Sofie must have gotten a million kisses. Sometimes I think she wonders what the big deal is.

Simply Irresistible
I’ve been running around the state taking photos and I’ve barely had any time to look at the great stuff I’ve captured. I did, however, get a chance to look at some of Katie, Michael, and Mackenzie’s session. I couldn’t resist posting these right away. I’m sure there will be a part 2 to Michael, Katie & Mackenzie’s photo shoot, but for now… enjoy!
Mackenzie was a getting a little tired (this was towards the end of the shoot) and then we stripped her down and gave her to her daddy on the couch. As you can see, she was all smiles!
